on Inara George from the bird and the bee. She has such a pretty voice, and this song reminds me of Burt Bacharach, when he collaborated with Hal David.

Late Night Breakup Music

The first time I heard “When Did You Stop Loving Me, When Did I Stop Loving You” was back in 1993. It was a cover version by Daryl Hall, and I glommed on to it. (if anyone has a clip of DH’s cover, please let me know.)

But really, even he can’t outshine or outsing the master–all hail the extended, stream-of-consciousness genius of Marvin Gaye!
